Rita Harrell

The delightful Rita Harrell joined our team 7 years ago as one of our Sales Managers. She obtained her BA in Theatre Arts and AA Hotel Management and obtained her CEM in 2010. As a hospitality professional of over 15 years, she worked for major hotel chains and resort properties as Director of Sales & Marketing and Sr. Manager. Visit the convention center any day… and you will see Rita conducting site inspections, booking exhibit space, managing accounts, and promoting Myrtle Beach as a great place to hold an event! Rita’s philosophy in life is “My job is to make my planners’ job not a job”.

Rita served as Executive Director for the state of Maryland’s Miss MD Scholarship Program for 4 years and coached 3 young ladies to rank in the top 10. After relocating to Myrtle Beach, her new interests are dancing, dogs, dreaming, dining and desserts. And if you find her enjoying any of her new interests, she will no doubt share her experiences of winning the “BEST ACTRESS AWARD” at Kentucky Wesleyan College and receiving a scholarship to the Boston Conservatory for the performance and the choreography of “Grandma’s Crazy” (a modern jazz dance).
