Rita Harrell, CEM

Sales Manager

The delightful Rita Harrell joined the team 9 years ago as one of our Sales Managers.  Obtaining a BA in Theatre Arts & Associates Degree in Hotel Management, and completed her Certification in Exhibition Management in 2010.  As a hospitality professional for over 20 yrs, Rita has worked for major hotel chains and resort properties as Director of Sales & Marketing.  Researching and knowing all the convention needs of a client is top priority for every group. 

Rita also served as Executive Director for the State of MD’s Miss Scholarship Program- dedicating 4 years to place 3 young inspirational women to the top 10 and 1 top 4 in Miss America. Relocating to Myrtle Beach from the Washington DC area was a quality move to spend more time with her growing teens.

Rita has received many awards in Acting, Sports, Dance and Theatre shows.  Rita apprenticed with some of the best actors at Jean Stapleton’s, “Parkway Playhouse” in Burnsville NC. Received scholarships both with Kentucky Wesleyan College and the Boston Conservatory of Music; as well as repertoire dancer at The Washington Dance Theatre.
